"We immigrated to the USA from the United Kingdom in June of 2005 and arranged for the transport of a very expensive Italian dining room suite and china cabinet. Unfortunately when the shipment arrived in August, having spent some 10 weeks at sea in a container, the table top, cabinet and 4 of the 6 chairs were very badly damaged. The furniture is quite unique and is a high gloss inlaid finish in an Italian scalloped design and is virtually irreplaceable here in the USA.

We were fortunate to have located John Curtis after looking under furniture repairers in the “Yellow Book”; John was our first and only call. John arrived at our house within 60 minutes of us contacting him; he spent an hour estimating the work and explaining how he would be able to make the invisible repair and provided us with a written estimate for our insurers.

Once the insurers fulfilled our claim, John arranged to carry out the work within a few days of us re contacting him to do so.

John is nothing more than professional, courteous and respectful. His workmanship is exceptional and the whole experience of dealing with John is an absolute ‘Breath of Fresh Air’ when it comes to customer satisfaction.

We are absolutely delighted with what John has done for us. If you did not know there was damage beforehand, you would never know that it had been repaired.
